Joke Olthaar
Joke OLTHAAR (1964, Netherlands) has been making theatre for over 20 years and was the founder of Theater Grrr. In 2011, she won the Culture Prize, IJsselmonde, an award for an exceptional collaboration between visual artists and residents. Her first short film, Hier is Harry Merry (2013), originated from 7 Inch Docs, a competition for short documentaries. It had its world premiere at IFFR and was described as “a true gem” by de Volkskrant. With André Schreuders, she co-directed the absurdist short film Duet of 3 Idiots (2015). In both theatre and film, Olthaar is fascinated by nature. BERG (2021) is her first feature film.
