Jiayi Chen

Jiayi CHEN is an artist working with analogue film, projection performance and time-based installation. Her practice explores material processes, duration and the spatial experience of moving images, often engaging with the physical properties of film and light. Her work has been exhibited and screened internationally at institutions and festivals, including the New York Film Festival, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and Fracto in Berlin. Chen’s work moves fluidly between cinema and exhibition contexts, emphasising projection as both image and event.
