Gabriele Mainetti
Gabriele MAINETTI (1976, Italy) attended courses in directing, screenwriting, and cinematography at Tisch School of Arts in New York City. He soon developed an acting career as well, which began in the theatre and continued on the screen, landing lead roles in movies and TV shows. In 2011, Mainetti founded his production company Goon Films and produced his first feature film They Call Me Jeeg (2015), winner of seven David di Donatello Awards in 2016 and many Italian and international prizes.
Mainetti also directed the short films Basette (2008) and Tiger Boy, which won the Silver Ribbon (2013) as Best Short Film.
