Ana Urushadze

Ana URUSHADZE (1990, Georgia) is a filmmaker who graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University in 2013. She wrote and directed several short films before completing her debut feature Scary Mother (2017), which received the Best First Feature Award at Locarno and the Heart of Sarajevo at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The film also represented Georgia in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 90th Academy Awards. Her new feature Supporting Role (2025) has its world premiere at IFFR 2026.
