Upi

Upi (1972, Indonesia) is a screenwriter and filmmaker behind some of the most popular films in Indonesia in the 2000s. Respected critically and commercially, her work has been nominated for several awards at the Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Director for My Stupid Boss (2016). Sri Asih (2022), adapted from the 1954 comic-book series, was selected for IFFR 2023.
