Tudor Giurgiu
Tudor GIURGIU (1972, Romania) is a filmmaker whose work spans music videos, fiction and documentary. He graduated from the Bucharest Film Academy in 1995 and directed his first feature, Love Sick (2006), which marked his emergence in Romanian cinema. Alongside his filmmaking practice, he has played a significant role in shaping Romania’s film culture as the founder of Librafilm and the founder and president of the Transilvania International Film Festival. His films often engage with recent history, social change and moral complexity, moving between intimate storytelling and larger political themes. 3 Days in September, selected for IFFR 2026, continues his work in feature filmmaking.
