Tanaka Toshihiko

Before starting out in the film industry, Japanese stage actor and filmmaker TOSHIHIKO Tanaka attended the business studies programme at University of Michigan in the United States. During the Covid-19-Pandemic he became more interested in film production and the idea of his debut film Rei (2024), selected for IFFR 2024, was born. The displayed intersection between the beauty of nature and the dark side of humanity is a crucial characteristic in Toshihiko’s work.
