Stefan Koutzev
Stefan KOUTZEV is a Bulgarian filmmaker working and living in Cologne, Germany. He is focused on narrative storytelling at the intersection of screenwriting, fiction and documentary practices, as well as the production of experimental films. His short films Restbestand (2025), Hauspausen (2024) and Schwärmen (2020) have screened at international film festivals such as DOK Leipzig, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Beijing International Short Film Festival and Stockholm International Film Festival. Why hasn’t everything disappeared is his debut fiction feature, while his project Schweres Licht is currently in development.
