Shao Pan
Shao PAN is a Chinese director, screenwriter, actor and a long-time martial artist. He began practicing martial arts at the age of 13. His previous documentary film, Bicycles and Old Electric Pianos (2015), tells the story of two impoverished musicians and gained significant attention and honours. Nangong Cheng (2025) is Pan’s first feature film as both director and actor. This work blends his personal martial arts journey with cinematic expression. The film explores the tension between tradition and modernity.
