Sato Hisayasu
SATO Hisayasu (1959, Japan) made his first 8mm film at secondary school and in 1982 became an assistant director for Shishi Productions, where he worked with Kan Mukai, Kaor Umezawa and Yojro Takita. In 1985 he made his first film of his own, Charge! Lolita Poaching (1985). Along with fellow directors, SANO Kazuhiro, SATO Toshiki and ZEZE Takahisa, he is known as one of the “Four Heavenly Kings of Pink”. In 2024, he will join IFFR with Dear Kaita Ablaze (2023).
