Samuel Paiva

Samuel PAIVA teaches History of Cinema at the Federal University of São Carlos, in São Paulo. His current research focuses, among other things, on the cinema from Pernambuco and the Manguebeat musical phenomenon. His publications include A figura de Orson Welles no cinema de Rogerio Sganzerla (2015) and the co-edited volume Viagem ao Cinema Silencioso do Brasil (2011).
