Rodrigo Gonzáles
Rodrigo GONZÁLEZ (1948-2020, Chile) was a filmmaker, author, stage director, mimer and actor who made a living from his passion for writing. He graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile’s Faculty of Communications. González participated in the Popular Unity movement which backed Salvador Allende’s campaign for the presidency. He was exiled to Montréal in 1974 and this is where he directed the first segment of the three-part film Il n’y a pas d’oubli (1975), officially selected for the IFFR 2024 Focus programme, Chile in the Heart.
