Nakata Hideo

NAKATA Hideo (1961, Japan) is a Japanese filmmaker. He is best known as one of the founders of so-called J-Horror, as director of the films Ring and Ring 2 and the American remake The Ring Two. Nakata made his initial breakthrough into film with Ghost Actress a.k.a. Don’t Look Up (1996). In addition, he has made TV series, documentaries and features outside the horror genre.
