Naishe Nyamubaya

Naishe NYAMUBAYA is a Zimbabwean-Egyptian filmmaker whose work centres on contemporary African stories and identities. He is an alumnus of international talent programmes including the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, Cannes Cinéfondation’s L’Atelier, the Red Sea Lodge and Film Independent’s Global Media Makers. His films have screened at festivals such as BFI London, Chicago International Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival and Jozi Film Festival, and have received nominations and awards from SAFTAS, the European Film Festival and ZIFF in Zimbabwe. His work often combines intimate character studies with broader social and cultural contexts.
