Mox Mäkelä
Conceptual artist Mox MÄKELÄ (1958, Finland) has been active in the cultural sector for over 45 years. Her eco-critical work has been displayed at art venues and international film festivals. Mäkelä’s films and installations follow the tension between nature and human nature in the marine milieu. Her film Petticoat Fire (2024) was selected for IFFR 2024 as part of the Tiger Short Competition. She returns to IFFR with the world premiere of From Behind the Teeth (2025), co-directed with Mikael FORTELIUS.
