Matthew Berka
Matthew BERKA (Australia) is an artist, filmmaker and composer. His work spans gallery and cinema contexts, exploring themes of memory, perception and the materiality of moving images. Berka’s films and installations have been screened and showcased worldwide, including at Onion City Experimental Film Festival, Millennium Film Workshop, NY Close-Up Cinema and Archivio Nazionale del Film di Famiglia in Italy. Alongside his artistic practice, Berka works as a time-based media conservator at Tate and contributes to the programming of the artist-run gallery Mackintosh Lane in London.
