Marijana Janković

Marijana JANKOVIĆ (1982, Montenegro) is a Danish actress and filmmaker. She graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2006 and has since established herself as one of Denmark’s promising talents in both acting and filmmaking. In 2018, she made her debut as a screenwriter and filmmaker with the short film Maja (2018), which is based on her own childhood. The short film has been screened around the world at various festivals and has won awards, including Best Narrative Short Film at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019 and Best Danish Short Film at the Odense Film Festival in 2018. Janković was also nominated for the New Nordic Voice Award at the Nordic Panorama Film Festival in 2019 in Sweden. Her debut feature film Home (2025) is part of the IFFR 2026 selection.
