Leonardo Mouramateus

Leonardo MOURAMATEUS (1991, Brazil) is a multiple award-winning screenwriter and director. His short films Mauro em Caiena (2013) and A festa e os cães (2015) won Best Short Film at the Cinéma du Réel film festival. His work has been exhibited in the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Art in São Paulo. Mouramateus graduated in Cinema and Audiovisuals from the Federal University of Ceará and holds an MFA in Art and Multimedia from the University of Lisbon. In 2015, the Cinémathèque Française presented a retrospective of his work. His debut feature film, António Um Dois Três (2017) premiered at IFFR. In 2020, IFFR presented a Deep Focus Short on his work and A chuva acalanta a dor (2020) had its world premiere in the Ammodo Tiger Short Competition. Greice (2024) is his third feature film and will have its world premiere at IFFR 2024.
