Kate Solar
Kate SOLAR (Canada) is a filmmaker working with documentary and experimental forms. Her practice examines the boundaries of memory and the interstitial space between landscape and documentation. Working primarily with analogue film, she approaches the film frame as tactile material, using it as a method to engage with archival poetics and material traces. Solar holds a BFA from NSCAD University. Her work has been supported by Arts Nova Scotia, AFCOOP, the Centre for Art Tapes and Struts Gallery.
