Ismael García Ramírez

Ismael GARCÍA RAMÍREZ is a filmmaker and screenwriter, interested in the hybridisation of audiovisual language and in staging that responds to the needs of the Global South. His short film Entre las Sombras Arden Mundos/Worlds Burn in the Shadows (2023) has participated in more than 30 festivals, such as the UNAM International Film Festival – FICUNAM, where it won the Silver Puma Medal for Best Short Film, the Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Short Film and the Cartagena International Film Festival – FICCI, where it was selected as the Ibero-American short film classified for the Oscars.
