Ilya Vierhout

Ilya VIERHOUT (1998, the Netherlands) is a filmmaker and actor whose work centres on emotional realism and the inner lives of his characters. He studied Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles, a background that informs his approach to performance-driven storytelling. Alongside acting in feature films, shorts, music videos and commercials, Vierhout works as a writer-director. His early short Slinger (2022) screened at Shortcutz Amsterdam. His film, De Albatros (2026), explores themes of memory, family and intergenerational connection through an intimate narrative focus.
