Igor Schiller

Igor SCHILLER (1996) is a Serbian artist based in Amsterdam. In 2021, he obtained his BA in Photography from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Schiller’s work has been exhibited in various events and venues, including Amsterdam Art Week, Grey Space in the Middle, PhotoVogue Festival in Milan and EYE Filmmuseum. In 2022 he was nominated for the Foam Paul Huf Award. His artistic practice is influenced by his childhood and unravels the Balkan tradition and culture, merging sentiment with document. Through the lens of cultural, social and historical conditions, he presents personal memories and heritage as part of collective memory, and he creates an atmosphere with a tint of strangeness and melancholy, intertwined with tenderness and warmth.
