Deniz Arikan
Deniz ARIKAN (1988, Turkey) is a Turkish-Dutch architect and filmmaker. He studied architecture in Turkey before relocating to the Netherlands in 2018, where he worked at international offices including OMA, KAAN Architecten and Space&Matter.
Alongside his architectural practice, Arikan shifted toward filmmaking, where he explores questions of identity, belonging and memory in relation to urban space. In his debut film, Not Built to Last (2026), he set out on a journey that delves into spatial storytelling and queer narratives through an intimate short film. The film was produced by Buddy Film Productions and supported by Roze Filmdagen.
