Clara Anastácia
Clara Anastácia (1992, Brazil), together with Gabriela Gaia Meirelles, is part of ENCRUZA, a decolonial creative duo of women living in the Brazilian diaspora. Anastácia was born in Pavuna, on Rio de Janeiro’s outskirts. Self-taught, she has been developing work aimed at inclusion and diversity. In 2020 she became a writer for the Netflix Brazil series directed by Daniel Filho and written by Ana Maria Moretzsohn. Also at Netflix, Clara Anastácia joined the Creative Collaboration 2021, a project that selects the best young black creators in Brazil and proposes an in-depth study of screenwriting techniques. Escasso (2022) is her debut as a director.
