Carl Joseph E. Papa
Carl Joseph PAPA is a software engineer by profession but storytelling has always been his passion. His short animated films and feature length animated film have been recognised in the Philippines and abroad – Annecy International Animation Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, IFFR, Animator Film Festival, NETPAC, BIFAN, Asia Pacific Screen Awards to name a few. His most recent film, Iti Mapukpukaw (2023), IFFR selection 2024, is his third feature film and the Philippines entry to the 96th Academy Awards for Best International Feature.
