Boris Poljak

Boris POLJAK (1959, Croatia) is one of the most prominent Croatian experimental and documentary filmmakers, an acclaimed cinematographer and director of photography. A long-time member of Split Film Club and one of the initiators of Split Film Festival. Since 1989, working as a director of photography, he has made more than 50 short and feature films and has received eight national film awards for best camera. He has directed award-winning experimental films together with Damir Cucic, and has acclaimed international recognition for his short film Autofocus (2013), which won an award as the best short film at both Karlovy Vary international film festival and Visions du Reel film festival in Nyon, Switzerland.
