ARIV

ARIV is a filmmaker who used to be a lawyer. He earned a bachelor degree in Law at Padjadjaran University and a master degree in Human Rights and Public International Law at the University of Amsterdam. After working for two years as a junior associate lawyer, he decided to play with ideas and make stories. He graduated in Advertising and Audiovisual Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA) in Rotterdam. He made Science Around Us (2021) as his graduation project, which was nominated for the 2021 Threshold Award Autonomous Practices and the 2021 BA Research Award at WdKA, and selected at The Netherlands Film Festival. ARIV received the VEVAM Talent Award 2021 for best film and the Nederlands Filmfonds Wildcard with this film.
