Alexandra Gulea

Alexandra GULEA (1970, Romania) studied at the art academy in Bucharest and graduated cum laude from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1997. She continued her education at Munich Film School where she studied documentary film. Her films have been shown internationally including Sarajevo, Rotterdam, and Leipzig. Her short film Flying Sheep (2022) won an award at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen 2022. Maia – Portret cu maini (2024), IFFR 2024 selection, is her second feature-length film.
