How do four filmmakers with different backgrounds (two from Belgium and two from DR Congo) make one film? How do their different views converge to tell one coherent story about Kinshasa, a city in upheaval after a failed election? An exercise in collective cinema, Collectif Faire-Part’s energetic 2019 documentary Faire-part provides fascinating answers to these questions by depicting a multifaceted portrait of Kinshasa through dance, performance and text.
