Austria’s first film production company was called Saturn, and the only kind of films it made during the short five years of its existence were erotica. More than a century after its demise, Daniela Zahlner set out to remake some of these in a way that would reflect the changes in gender and sexual politics that have happened since. A piece of gaudy glory featuring several well-known contemporary avant-garde filmmakers.
