Have you ever heard the saying, “Nothing good ever happens after midnight?” Well, at IFFR, we couldn’t disagree more! Great things happen at night, especially during the festival! What better time to indulge in a film?
We’ve planned a spine-chilling (or hilarious – that’s up to you) night for you in the festival’s most mystical location: Cinerama. So, join us on Friday 7 February for a cinematic nighttime adventure featuring films from the IFFR 2025 programme. Don’t worry about snacks and drinks — we’ll make sure you have everything you need to brave the night.
There are four films to choose from:
Possession Street, 2024, Jack Lai Occupants of a mall must defend themselves and potentially the world when a shop owner accidentally breaches a supernatural barrier in their basement, releasing a mysterious gas that turns its victims into purulent, flesh-eating zombies. A very Hong Kong Taoist-inspired survival horror.
Location: Cinerama 2 Time: 23.15
Dead Talents Society, 2024, John Hsu A young ghost with low self-esteem becomes the protégée of a washed-up spectress-diva who teaches her how to scare humans. John Hsu returns to IFFR with his sophomore feature, a delightful horror comedy of found family and personal growth.
Location: Cinerama 3 Time: 23.30
Get Away, 2024, Steffen Haars A British family take their vacation on a remote Swedish island, blithely unaware of the danger they all face courtesy of some unsavoury locals with an interest in practising age-old traditions, in this darkly comic horror from the director of the New Kids series.
