Originally shown as three separate films, I. / II. / III. is a triptych portrait of the most intimate proportions. Simple scenes within the domicile become completely entrancing as layer after layer of exposure unfurls onto itself. The movement of the leaves, the light, his father: all become hypnotic in this silent sonata. Projected on 35mm.
