Haar handen

A change of scenery from street life to an intimate interior, but still in classic Jaap Pieters form, Haar handen is a single shot taking up the entirety of one Super 8mm film role, this time in black and white. Shot from above, this silent meditation on a woman’s fingers as they gracefully move with agility over her computer keyboard disembodies an act we are all so familiar with to reshape it into something quite abstract.
