Cleo is a 17-year-old girl whose both parents drowned in a car accident six months back. She and her kid brother now live with their granny while she tries to put her life back together. She is still scared in traffic and terrified of water, but seems to be soothed by Leos, a 13-years-older man she met on a night out. However, the protective, understanding Leos turns out to have a terrible secret.
The truth gradually, unavoidably, reveals itself in this psychological drama, in scenes set in cosy and cold living rooms, beside disturbing roads and at the piano, the other place Cleo, whose father was a concert pianist, finds relief. This atmospheric film with a major role for Rachmaninov’s music, is Eva Cools’ directorial debut.
