It&rsquo;s astounding how much humans want to hold onto and record the world&nbsp;around us and our place in it. These filmmakers and artists go beyond that. They conversely leave out information, filter, select and organise differently. Their specialities are constructing narratives, distilling meaning from footage or shifting attention.
