Independently of each other, both Sergei Eisenstein and Bertold Brecht tried their luck in Hollywood – in vain. Beloff has them reincarnated in the form of two lanky youths. By placing the idealistic ideas of these two left-wing thinkers in the mouths of children, Beloff underlines their naivete while reanimating their hopes for the future.
