Kourkouta lyrically evokes the Greek soul through fragments of popular films from the 1950s and ’60s. The filmmaker superimposes and slows down her beautifully selected material to compose a hypnotizing audio-visual poem about the collective consciousness. A melancholy piano sets the tone.
