The Iulia Hasdeu Castle was built by historian and politician B.P. Hasdeu after his daughter Iulia’s early death. He claimed that his late daughter had provided the plans for the castle during spiritualist sessions. In the first chapter of Film Postale, the current caretaker of the Memorial Museum re-enacts his role as mediator.
