The film was shot in 1977 on Kickelhahn, the exact same mountain where Goethe wrote the poem Another One (Ein Gleiches) on the wall of a hunting lodge in 1780. Goethe’s poems have been set to music by many composers over the years. For this film, Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten) was the composer.
