Jacobs uses the stereoscopic effect he patented as ‘eternalism’ to create a hypnotising rhythm. Since the 1960s, he has been extending the teachings of the painter Hans Hofman to the realm of the cinema. His resolutely original visual forms are the result of equally radical social views.
