Commissioned by The One Minutes Foundation, artists have made new split-screen cuts of existing film classics and B-movies from all over the world. Each lasts about one minute and shows on a screen divided into four the essence of each film. They are very condensed film poems that provide a fascinating picture of what editing can do. Form, colour, sound, effect and emotion can bring the images together.
As you look, you are sent back and forth in a very compact way through film history and international film language. At the same time, it touches on the way in which we acquire information these days. Looking at four pictures all at once is no problem.
