Shadow Trap

Shards of emulsion, layered and structured onto clear 35mm film. Shadow Trap was conceived as a companion piece to the live film performance Light Trap, where actions are taken to remove all emulsion from completely developed black film loops. Shadow Trap operates in reverse – a film is created by the application of film emulsion ‘dust’ to a clear base.
