An almost unbearably black mood characterises the work of the twins Kim Sun and Kim Gok. Suicidal Variations shows a woman in a state of total despair after she kills a man. His decapitated head follows her and she is decides to escape by committing suicide. Death is manifested in violent flickering effects.
