He Walked Away

A film, actually two films, that have to be shown in double projection with live music. A project that Reeves performed in close cooperation with the musician Anthony Burr. Images of landscapes, portraits and more abstract optical effects were borrowed from Reeves’ own films Configuration 20, Fear of Blushing and The Time We Killed. The approach has a lot in common with the way in which musicians use old compositions to make new presentations.
