DCTP TV (Development Company For Television Program)
Since 1988, film maker Alexander Kluge – a contemporary of Rainer Werner Fassbinder – has been primarily focused on television, having abandoned the notion of auteur cinema for collaborative TV-making. His work consists of cultural, magazine and interview programmes for German stations including RTL, SAT.1 and VOX. These programmes are produced by his own independent production company in a small Munich studio. Like his films, they employ a great variety of image and sound fragments to give the TV viewer an often Dadaist, multidimensional, multi-sensory experience. Including: Altars of Madness, In the Storm of Time, Galactic Cannibalism, Without Music all of Life is an Error, King Kong the Eiffel Tower and the White Lady and Help, Help Big Emergency – the Shark will Kill me in a Minute.
