The mother of the film maker made friends with the Pakistani asylum seeker Patrick. In this docu-fiction about his last months in Switzerland, each character from reality was given the choice of whether or not to play his or her own role. The mother is played by an actress, but Patrick is real. His adventures turn out to be contagious: eventually the film crew help him cross the border into Italy. Then an unexpected message arrives. Mooibroek gives all the elements (people, animals, locations, legal texts, monologues, colours) an equally important place in her film. This transcends the personal level and tells a universal story of friendship and transition..
