This film narrative was shot on location in the African Djenné, in cooperation with several of its inhabitants, seen from the perspective of a 'griot' (a West-African storyteller; in this case Afel Bocoum, who is famous in Mali). A story about a pupil at a Koran School who has to find the answer to a question to a Marabout, his master. With this question - what is the largest part of all knowledge? - the pupil sets off to ask several people in his surroundings.
