Sweetness
A short film realised for the Electric Dreams exhibition in the London Barbican Centre last summer. The New York performanceduo Fischerspooner loves to create sensation and is at least as interested in all possible pop paraphernalia as in the music itself. On a carpet of sound that is most reminiscent of early 1980s synthipop, they show off their glamorous dressing up-parties, bizarre dream positions and sombre urges. The music video for Sweetness came about in cooperation with the British collective Donateller, which resulted in a cabaretesque choreography with lots of feathers and fishnets.
