A rare and successful experiment to make a feature film with no dialogue (but with music and sound effects). It is a romance between an unemployed youth and a rich girl. She is a daughter of the magician who performs at the hotel called ‘Pushpak’. There are clever little distractions, for example an impossible drunkard and a loony assassin. This experiment without speech has become a hugely successful film in a country that has movies in at least six different languages.
