In this work, the maker emphasises the social bond between the one holding the weapon and the one who uses a camera. The video is made up of images from a security camera in the exercise yard of a prison. Harun Farocki (1944, Java) studied at the film and TV academy in Berlin. Since 1975, he has made about 70 films in a variety of genres, usually with a social or political angle. The Rotterdam festival has often shown his work, either alone or in cooperation with others.
